Metro Golf Tournament

Patriots Enjoy Day at the Patriot!

The 2011 Metro Golf Scramble was wonderfully successful in many ways. The weather was perfect, the course impeccable, but the best part of all was the 96 players that came out to enjoy fun and fellowship. We had some wonderful golf moms that came out and escorted, photographed, and offered the best in hospitality. We want to thank everyone for coming out to play with a special thanks to our sponsors listed below!

One of the highlights of the day was the Hole in One shot on #17 by Sanford Roberds, a member of Dr. Steve Nussbaum's team. It was Mr. Roberd's first ever hole-in-one and needless to say, he took away the "Closest to the Pin" award at the wrap-up party. Other special award winners were: Ron Neill for "Longest Drive", Eric Polak for "Straightest Drive", and Dave Wiederker for having the "Longest Putt".

The day's format was called "Blind Handicap Flighting". There was actually 3, First Place winning teams instead of the traditional first, second, and third place low score recipients which made the tournament more interesting. The Flight One winners were the team of John Phillips, Carl Ducato, Sean Steggmann, and Randy Duncan. Flight Two's first place winning team was Stan Bridgeford, Josh Bridgeford, Chris Matthews, and John Sappington. Flight Three's first place winners were Clayton Hughes, John Krummel, Mike Sitton, and William Kimbrough. A special award was given (sleeves of Patriot golf balls) to the team with the highest score - the team of Jay Hight, Bob Schooley, Bob Carpenter, and Bob Skaggs.
