Metro Slam Tennis Tournament a Big Success!

Sixty women signed up and sixty women came out to be pampered and play great tennis on Wednesday, March 7th at The Grand Health and Racquet Club.  Metro's Middle School Tennis Team members earned money for their team by being ball girls and ball boys to the day.  Due to the high winds, the ball kids were in high demand!  It was all good fun and players enjoyed a lovely luncheon prepared by Chef Shannon Smith (Mitchel and Meredith's mom).

This year's winners were First Place 4.0 Sherry Fine and Betsy Bryce, Second Place 4.0 was Asuko Han and Kim Truon, First Place in the 3.5 Division was Brenda Lewis and Kelli Mason and Second Place winners were Shelley Butler and her partner Shannon Faulkner, First Place in the 2.5/3.0 category were Ann Stone and her partner Michelle Carabello and second place winners were Jill Donovan and Jamie Ruefer.  Special awards were given to teams exercising good sportsmanship, high energy, matching outfits, and best frame shots.
